Refurbished Cisco IP Phones
Cisco IP phones are business desk phones that make calls over your data network, usually as part of a Cisco phone system or a SIP service. This page lists new and refurbished Cisco phones from the 7900, 7800 and 8800 series and the SPA small business range, alongside Cisco routers and networking modules. Each listing shows its condition: New, Refurbished or Refurbished B.
Cisco 7800 and 8800 phones come in two versions. Enterprise versions run firmware for Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM). Multiplatform (MPP) versions run SIP firmware for hosted services and other platforms. Check which one you need before you order. For other makes, see VoIP phones and 3CX supported phones.

How to choose a Cisco IP phone
- Know your platform: on CUCM, choose enterprise versions. For a hosted SIP service, choose MPP versions or SPA models.
- Check the firmware: moving a phone between enterprise and MPP firmware is not always simple, so buy the version that matches your system.
- Older 7900 models: these were built for Cisco call managers. Some can run SIP firmware, but features may be limited.
- Power: many Cisco desk phones take power over the network cable (PoE). Without a PoE switch, add a power supply or injector.
- Add-ons: check whether you need a key expansion module, wall mount or headset lead.
Questions
What is a Cisco phone system?
A Cisco phone system usually means Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) or a related Cisco platform, which controls the IP phones on your network. Cisco phones with MPP firmware can work with hosted SIP services instead.
Do Cisco IP phones work with other VoIP providers?
SPA models and MPP versions of the 7800 and 8800 series use SIP and work with many SIP providers. Enterprise versions are made for CUCM and usually need different firmware to work elsewhere. Check with your provider before you order.
What is the difference between Cisco 7900, 7800 and 8800 phones?
The 7900 series is an older range built for Cisco call managers. The 7800 series covers everyday desk phones. The 8800 series is aimed at heavier users, with extras such as video on some models. Both 7800 and 8800 phones come in enterprise and MPP versions.
