MS TEAMS VOICE PLATFORM
Microsoft is constantly adding new Voice options to its Teams platform. Among these is the scope to combine it with a cloud-based phone system to replace an existing PBX. Advantages include:

INTEGRATE TELEPHONY WITH MICROSOFT TEAMS
To make and receive outside calls via Teams, you need a phone system licence to connect the Microsoft Phone System to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN).
There are two ways of doing this: either use a Microsoft Calling Plan, or choose the more economical and flexible option of Direct Routing.
CALLING PLAN OR DIRECT ROUTING
MICROSOFT CALLING PLAN
You can add this onto the phone system with all manner of options available. The tariffs can be quite complex, with some hidden costs that are not immediately clear upfront. As charges are made on a per user license basis, this can prove an expensive option.
PSTN DIRECT ROUTING
Most organisations elect for the more obvious savings available with Direct Routing. With this option you are only paying for the PSTN trunks you are using – so why pay more? We can also contend lines so that minutes are pooled, leading to lower monthly call charges.
